I am, of course, a few days late with this post as I am definitely a Martha…

I mean, who can complain though – either way, you can be a saint. However, as women, we often are too “busy” to be contemplative like Mary. We are running around the kitchen and the whole house saying, “Lord, do you not care that no one in this house helps me!” I mean, I know I do.
Jesus looks to us kindly and with love, always. Do we ever pause to experience His love and care for us and our self-created plights? The reason no one does anything maybe could be because we are controlling and want everything done a certain way and right now (hmmm… just speaking for myself of course). Or perhaps we do not want to argue with our children or husband to get them to do something we might just have to re-do anyway.
Of course, I do not want to be painting everyone with the brush that belongs to me … Everyone’s home life is different but as women, we often love to multitask. It is just part of our nature. However, I know I need time to be Mary and sit at the feet of Jesus and learn and love Him.
So much to be thankful for – having a home to clean, having children to dread bossing around, being married to my spouse who I know cannot multitask to save his life…
